KVKK Privacy Notice

This notice is provided by SHK Events (“we”, “the Company”) as the data controller, in line with Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform. It applies to personal data collected through destination-weddings-turkey.com.

2. Personal data we process, purposes and legal grounds

Providing the contact form data is voluntary. Without it we cannot answer your enquiry.
3. How we collect your data
We collect data electronically: through the contact form, by e-mail, and through cookies and similar technologies on the website.
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above:
- Hosting and e-mail delivery providers that run the website and deliver enquiries to us (hosting is provided in Türkiye).
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile security verification on the contact form and on the website’s login pages). When you submit the form, verification data is processed by Cloudflare, which is located outside Türkiye.
- QUIC.cloud (content delivery and caching). Website pages may be delivered through its network, which may operate outside Türkiye.
- Google LLC (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies. Data is processed outside Türkiye.
- Vimeo, Inc., only if you accept external content and the embedded video loads. Data is processed outside Türkiye.
- Public authorities and courts, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
We keep contact form data for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and, if a contract is concluded, for the retention periods required by Turkish law. Security logs are kept for the period needed for security and then deleted or anonymised. Your cookie choice is stored for 6 months. Analytics cookies last up to 2 years unless you withdraw your consent earlier.
6. Your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK
You may apply to us at any time to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed;
- request information about the processing if it has been processed;
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose;
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom the data is transferred;
- request correction if the data is incomplete or inaccurate;
- request deletion or destruction of the data under the conditions in Article 7 of the KVKK;
- request that these correction, deletion and destruction operations are notified to third parties the data was transferred to;
- object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis of the data;
- request compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing.
7. How to apply
Send your request, with information that identifies you, by e-mail to info@destination-weddings-turkey.com or in writing to the address above. We will reply free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Board.
